¡Que Suene la Banda! follows Javier Ramirez, a gifted Mexican-American teen torn between his elite school’s classical music world and his father Eladio’s love of banda. After a viral video of him performing with his dad’s group embarrasses him, Javier rejects his roots, only to realize he’s lost the joy that music once gave him. In his final audition, he honors both sides of himself by performing a banda song, reconciling with his father and embracing his cultural identity through music.
